You may all know Borderlands Movie is based on a Game with the same name, so the journey of this started in 2015 Lionsgate Flims was in discussion with Leigh Whannell for directing and writing the Borderlands movie, later on, Leigh was dropped from the film, and in 2020 Eli Roth was asked to direct this movie which was written by Craig Mazin
Making of the film started in April 2021 and the shooting was going on for the next 14 months, shooting was completed in June 2022, but there was a reshoot of the movie in January 2023 for 2 weeks. unfortunately due to prior commitments of Eli Roth for the movie Thanksgiving, he didn’t continue the Borderlands reshoot. So the reshoot of these 2 weeks was done by Tim Miller
After the movie was completed and screening testing was done film release date was announced and the date is 9th August 2024
Borderlands Movie Trailer Breakdown
The film looks completely like a whole cinematic view of the Borderlands game. At the beginning of the movie building of Atlas Corporation is shown which is one of the biggest, most successful, and powerful in Borderland Universe, in the borderlands game you have never met the CEO of Atlas Corporation Mr. Jack but in this movie, the character is being shown who is totally unique character, not at all handsome and not enthusiasm at all.
In the next scene, your taken inside a vault that is very huge but no such activity is shown inside this vault The next scene starts where you can see the first look of Lilith who is been played by Cate Blanchett, and doesn’t have to tell this to you guys Cate is looking very incredible and she is a very fabulous actor as well. Lilith character is very important in the movie and Cate’s capability will surely do justice to it. Going ahead a very first look at the Marcus bus is shown, if you have played the Borderlands game you will easily make out it’s a Marcus bus and in a completely new look.
Kevin Hart will be playing as Rolland in the movie and he appears in the trailer too with a blue commander cap and he looks stunning. Many would know him as a comic star but they will be surprised to see an action pack stunts done by Kevin Hart in the movie. Tiny Tina is been played by Ariana Greenblatt who was at age 12 when the film shooting was going on in Budapest
In the next scene, we can see Crom and a bunch of bandits ready for the fight. After that Rolland, Tina, and Lilith are going in the piss wash gully in a van which is a trashier piss, because of the bad smell everyone was asking Tina to close the window but she was not listening to anyone and suddenly there was water or Piss starts coming in the van and everyone gets wet from piss. It literally looked like there was someone’s job to piss from the window hahaha.
In the next shoot, you can see Krieg trashing everyone with his axe, later on, we can see a very beautiful visualization where Lilith, Tina, and Krieg have painted their face with beautiful bird-like designs. Claptrap is grabbing people and pushing them in the hole because he is an interplanetary ninja after all and I am guessing he would be doing lots of action in the movie. In the end of the trailer, we can also see a bunch of bandits pulling guns on Claptrap and firing bullets at him… ohh this was disappointing.
Maxxie looks stunning as well and very bold and beautiful, this role is played by Gina but OMG she looks wonderful and finally in the last scene you can see the giant thrasher coming for the fight and our fighters are ready for it. They just jump their car from a slope and a rocket launcher which is placed below the car is being launched to hit the giant thrasher and blow him up.
Wait a minute there is one more scene where Claptrap starts omitting lots of bullets and everyone is very happy to see that Claptrap is back and a good try to give a happy ending.
Conclusion
Everything looks good to us and we are looking forward to watching this movie in theatres on 9th August 2024. Let me know your view on the same in the comment section
